From now on, Jonathan Baumann will strengthen the EWIA team. The 26-year-old has already gained experience in both renewable energy and in Africa. Read here what the Munich native has done so far and what he will be responsible for at EWIA in the future.

EWIA continues to grow. Today, we would like to introduce our new employee Jonathan Baumann, who will assist the management team. This support is absolutely necessary, as EWIA is now active in three countries beyond Germany, and the number of employees is rising rapidly, partly due to acquisitions. Jonathan comes at exactly the right time!

Not only is he a committed advocate of renewable energy, especially solar power, but the 26-year-old Munich native is also passionate about Africa, foreign cultures in general, and loves to travel. These are all excellent qualifications for advancing the energy transition on the “Sun Continent” with EWIA.

Jonathan studied Management and Renewable Energy at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT). During the 2023/24 practical semester, he gained his first experience in Africa while working with the SOFIs World Foundation. In Kenya, he spent six months supporting and managing various foundation projects in renewable energy and water supply, from planning through to implementation.

Jonathan has always dreamed of finding a role that is varied and allows him to take on responsibility quickly. At the same time, he is drawn to areas where there is no established “one-size-fits-all” approach. He is flexible, outgoing, and a true team player.

Jonathan’s first team trip takes him to Vienna alongside Ralph Schneider and Thomas Laumont.

We are very excited about this addition to the team and also about his fresh, youthful perspective on a changing world. Welcome aboard, Jonathan!
