The massive power outage on the Iberian Peninsula last Monday, the cause of which is still unclear, not only showed Spain and Portugal how dependent we are on a stable power supply. At exactly 12.33 pm, there was suddenly 15 gigawatts less electricity in the grid, an incredible drop in output.
Local blackouts are a daily occurrence in large parts of Africa. And that is precisely why off-grid solutions, an off-grid energy supply powered by solar, are such a good idea.
Visitors await innovations, trends and business models
This is another reason why the who's who of the solar industry is coming together this week at the annual Intersolar Europe at the Messe München exhibition centre. Home game for EWIA!
The conference will take place on 6 and 7 May, and between 7 and 9 May the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry, which has been setting the pace for more than 30 years, will open its doors to visitors. It showcases innovations, trends and business models (one of these trends, at least in our case, is battery storage, which now accounts for more than 70% of the systems at EWIA).
In 2024, the trade fair recorded 1,549 exhibitors from 51 countries, 476 of them from Germany and 1,073 from abroad. In addition, 93,343 visitors, 46,092 from Germany and 47,251 from abroad,
The EWIA management, consisting of Ralph Schneider, Wolf-Dietrich Fugger and Timo Schäfer, will be on site. So come and meet us at Intersolar! Please send us an e-mail in advance to dr.wolf.fugger[@]EWIAinvestments.com.
We look forward to seeing old acquaintances again and are excited to see what innovations we will see.
