EWIA's current portfolio covers a range of industries and regions, enabling us to achieve good diversification for our investors and reduce costs and emissions for our customers. Today, we would like to introduce you to Aisha Hospital in Tamale, a flagship clinic in northern Ghana that not only takes patient care to a whole new level, but also relies on state-of-the-art technology for its energy supply.
You currently have the opportunity to invest in the EWIA Impact Portfolio* 1, a bond that bundles five of our projects with different clients. Today, we would like to introduce you to the Aisha Hospital in Tamale in more detail.
The modern hospital is a private healthcare facility located on Old Airport Road in Tamale, the rapidly growing metropolis in northern Ghana. The clinic was newly built and opened on October 14, 2023. The PV system has a capacity of 26.64 kWp. It saves 35.96 MW/h of grid electricity and 17 tons of CO₂ per year. Over the planned operating life of 25 years, this is expected to amount to approximately 431 tons of CO₂.
West Africa’s Finest
In the capital of the Northern Region, the Aisha Hospital impresses with its modern equipment and countless services and specializations that are raising standards not only in Ghana but throughout West Africa. Thanks to a Solar-as-a-Service contract from EWIA Green Investments, a state-of-the-art PV system is now also being installed.
At EWIA, we are always particularly pleased when we can contribute to promoting solar energy for critical infrastructure. In Kumasi, we had already equipped the A1 Hospital in the past, and in February 2025, we equipped the Northern Community Eye Hospital (NCEH) in Tamale.
And now Tamale also has a state-of-the-art hospital that produces green, affordable, and reliable electricity. We already have a number of customers in the capital of the Northern Region.
The Aisha Hospital is committed to providing first-class, patient-centered medical care in West Africa.
The hospital, which was financed by a local family and investors from the USA, has 92 beds and an impressive infrastructure. Equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including laparoscopy and ultrasound examination, etc., and with a dedicated team of highly qualified doctors, the hospital is focused on providing its patients with first-class healthcare.
It offers a wide range of services, including emergency services and precise medical tests to enable rapid diagnoses and therapies.
Aisha Homes
But it is not only the hospital itself that is state-of-the-art. Right next door is Aisha Homes, a recently completed resort that offers relatives of patients affordable, fully furnished modern accommodation for short and long stays. The standards and quality of the entire Aisha complex are therefore very high.
EWIAs Track Record in Tamale
Tamale is considered one of West Africa's fastest growing cities and an important market for EWIA. Here, we have already equipped the Radach Hotel, the Regal Hotel, the recycling company Zablikani, the Northern Community Eye Hospital (more information here), and now the Aisha Hospital with solar power systems.
