In the capital of the Northern Region, the Aisha Hospital impresses with its modern equipment and countless services and specializations that are raising standards not only in Ghana but throughout West Africa. Thanks to a Solar-as-a-Service contract from EWIA Green Investments, a state-of-the-art PV system is now also being installed.

At EWIA, we are always particularly pleased when we can contribute to promoting solar energy for critical infrastructure. In Kumasi, we had already equipped the A1 Hospital in the past, and in February we equipped the Northern Community Eye Hospital (NCEH) in Tamale.

And now Tamale also has a state-of-the-art hospital that produces green, affordable, and reliable electricity. We already have a number of customers in the capital of the Northern Region.

Aisha Hospital is a modern, private healthcare facility located on Old Airport Road near the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale. Opened on October 14, 2023, the hospital is committed to providing first-class, patient-centered medical care in West Africa.

Aisha sets the benchmark for standards

The hospital, which was financed by a local family and investors from the USA, has over 92 beds and an impressive infrastructure. Equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including laparoscopy and ultrasound examination, etc., and with a dedicated team of highly qualified doctors, the hospital is focused on providing its patients with first-class healthcare.

The hospital attaches great importance to taking into account the individual needs of patients and ensuring trustworthy, comprehensive medical care. It offers a wide range of services, including emergency services and precise medical tests to enable rapid diagnosis and treatment. The comprehensive services offered include

surgical services, maternal and child care, dialysis and blood services, dentistry and ophthalmology, diagnostic imaging (ultrasound), cardiotocography (CTG), and electrocardiography (ECG).

Aisha Homes

But it's not just the hospital itself that is state-of-the-art. Right next to the hospital is Aisha Homes, a recently completed resort that offers patients' relatives affordable, fully furnished modern accommodation for short and long stays. The standards and quality of the entire Aisha complex are therefore very high.

The solar system is also state-of-the-art

Another innovative aspect of the Aisha Hospital is the new solar system, which is provided by EWIA Green Investments as part of a Solar-as-a-Service contract. With an output of 27 kWp, the system will significantly reduce energy costs while saving around 17.4 tons of CO₂ per year. Over a period of 25 years, the solar system is expected to save approximately 434.3 tons of CO₂, further underscoring the facility's environmental friendliness.

The Aisha Hospital stands out for its commitment to high-quality and sustainable healthcare, making it a valuable resource for the community in northern Ghana.

EWIA's track record in Tamale

In Tamale, considered one of the fastest-growing cities in West Africa, we have already equipped the Radach Hotel, the Regal Hotel, the recycling company Zablikani, the Northern Community Eye Hospital (more here), and now the Aisha Hospital with solar systems.
