On 2 June, sustainability took us to Cologne. Ralph Schneider, Wolf-Dietrich Fugger and Timo Schäfer took part in the solar days of the Autarkia - Green World Tour, which was held in the cathedral city.
The trade fair for sustainable products, technologies and concepts, which took place this year as part of the "Strassenland" experience festival, attracted numerous exhibitors and experts covering the topics of e-mobility, renewable energies and energy storage, CO2-neutral heating systems, sustainable construction, green lifestyle products and energy-saving household appliances as well as green office concepts. Strassenland itself sees itself as a platform where creative start-ups, innovative companies, municipal administrations and committed citizens can show what a sustainable, urban future for their city looks like.
In fact, the topic of sustainability is presented very broadly at the Green World Tour, so that in addition to current research projects and technological developments and training programmes, jobs in the green economy are also presented.
The Solar Days are a real concern for the organisers. "We can all do a lot in the energy sector in particular and bring about positive change," says Autarkia boss Michael Lülf with conviction. The opportunities for individuals do not end with investments in turnkey photovoltaic systems, energy storage systems, charging stations and heat pumps. An impact can also be achieved with sustainable investments, financing and business models. As a solar financier, we were exactly right here and our offers were very well received.
It was a great pleasure for us to meet a large number of investors and interested parties in person during the Green World Tour in Cologne. Trade fairs are always excellent opportunities to talk to customers, investors and partners. We will soon be visiting the world's leading trade fair Intersolar in Munich. More on this elsewhere.
