EWIA at the Greentech Festival

More than 14,000 visitors, 200 exhibitors and over 350 speakers came together under the motto ‘Accelerating Change from Berlin’ between 15 and 17 May to present visions and solutions for a sustainable future. A who's who from politics and business debated future-oriented solutions and ideas on six stages, including Federal Ministers Christian Lindner, Volker Wissing, Steffi Lemke and Bettina Stark-Watzinger as well as Minister President Daniel Günther, Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of The Club of Rome and many more.

AI was a focal topic, alongside the circular economy, human resources and leadership, mobility, sustainable buildings, food and agriculture as well as media and culture.

Corporates...

When an excellently networked Formula 1 world champion calls, they all come. And of course, all the world's corporations know what the time has come and that consumers expect green solutions from them. Audi, Vodafone, E.ON, Deutsche Bahn, but also Stadler, 1KOMMA5°, John Deere, DSV and Volkswagen subsidiary Elli will be presenting sustainable approaches at the Greentech Festival. Is this all meant seriously or just a fig leaf? In any case, the festival did not avoid the accusation of greenwashing and addressed it in several panels.

... and Start-up Land

EWIA was in good company in this pavilion, with our neighbours looking at the use of proprietary satellite technology to measure greenhouse gas emissions, for example, offering solutions for the disposal of electronic waste or presenting alternatives in the food and beverage sector, e-mobility solutions and the topic of solar was not only represented by us.

As part of the ‘GREEN INVESTORS CRUNCH’, these companies also had the opportunity to convince potential investors. At the EWIA stand itself, EWIA CEO Ralph Schneider, West Africa Director Dr Wolf-Dietrich Fugger and Project Manager Thomas Laumont held countless discussions with extremely open-minded trade fair visitors. Our partner Uwe Hassenkamp, who is helping us to develop the solar market in Nigeria, also joined us here.
